Attendance regulations for studying in Singapore:
The Immigration Department of Singapore requires that the monthly class attendance rate of international students should not be lower than 90%, otherwise, the visa renewal will be refused. If students need to take leave due to illness during their studies, they need to apply to the dean of the school and provide a sick leave slip issued by a regular doctor. Any leave or return to the country for more than 60 days must be resubmitted to the Singapore Immigration Department after the expiry of the student visa. details as follows:
1. Students must be in school for 5 days x 5 hours a week. If they are late for more than 15 minutes, they will be regarded as absent.
2. Students will be required to maintain at least 90% attendance throughout the semester.
3. Attendance will be calculated based on daily punch cards and signatures. Students will receive a warning letter if attendance does not reach 90%. Students will also receive a warning letter from the school if they do not come to school for 3 consecutive days without a doctor's certificate. If a student is absent from school for 7 consecutive days, the school will notify the Immigration Department.
4. Only the medical certificate issued by the local clinic will be accepted; if the foreign medical certificate is not in English, it needs to be notarized in English before it will be accepted.
5. For students whose attendance rate is less than 90%, the Immigration Department of Singapore reserves the right to reject their student pass application.
