5 A level university requirements

Only local students in Singapore who have completed A-level courses in junior colleges or high schools can take the A-level exams and enter government universities with their scores. The Singapore government also encourages people from the community and overseas students to apply directly for the exam. Chinese domestic high school graduates are also eligible to apply, but need to take an A-level preparatory course and then take the A-level exam.

Requirements for applying for A-level: If the applicant is in China, aged 17-25 years old, studying or graduated from high school; if the applicant is in Singapore, the age can be relaxed to 30 years old, and other conditions remain unchanged.

A-level courses are suitable for middle school students aged 15-18 who have graduated from junior high school or above or vocational high school students with the same degree. Usually domestic A-level schools enroll students who have graduated from senior two and are required to take relevant entrance exams. A-level courses, including teaching and exam papers, are all presented in English, and the exam is difficult, so it requires students to have a higher level of English.

For domestic high school students, the compulsory Chinese course is very simple, only equivalent to the difficulty of Chinese in the second year of domestic high school. The difficulty of mathematics is equivalent to the level of the second year of high school in China, but the difficulty lies in the fact that students must answer the mathematics test paper in English.
